A note from Wildgrid's Cofounder and CEO, Krystal Persaud:

Wildgrid first launched in March 2022 as a solar marketplace. Our mission was to educate people about affordable options to switch to renewable energy. Parinda & I closed our pre-seed round of funding the day before my daughter Ruby was born. But, that's a story for another time :)

Just one year later, I'm thrilled to announce... we just launched a new version of Wildgrid, aka Wildgrid Home! We are not just a solar marketplace anymore. The new Wildgrid is an online tool to demystify home electrification and empower more women to lead climate action. We've expanded our mission to educate more people about how to transition away from fossil fuels in every aspect of their home (not just with solar).

Within minutes of using Wildgrid’s new planning tool, homeowners and renters can create a roadmap and budget for tackling various energy-saving projects (like solar, heat pumps, EVs) all in one place. Users are instantly shown personalized recommendations along with a detailed breakdown of rebates available.

Part of Wildgrid’s mission is empowering women to take climate action. Women statistically control their household’s budget and major decisions. With the right tools, women can get home electrification done faster. As a new mom, that clicked for me. We launched an online educational course called “Voltage Vixens'' where cohorts are guided through electrification together.
